Hackney Hotel robbery update
Police are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred last night at Hackney.
At about 10.25pm a man, armed with a knife, entered the Hackney Hotel on Hackney Road.
The suspect confronted a staff member and stole an amount of cash.
The staff member who wasn't hurt during the incident was detained by the man and released outside when the man left the premises.
The man was last seen running on Richmond Street, towards Hackney Road is described as being of Caucasian appearance, mid 20's in age, and average build.
He was clean shaven with dark circles under both eyes, wearing a grey hoodie, a red t-shirt, grey track suit pants.
